Join Marion on another of her exclusive PORTRAIT & PET PORTRAIT/WILDLIFE courses, to be spread over 3 consecutive days, starting Thursday 31st October thru to Saturday 2nd November 2019.
Marion's portrait workshops are getting rave reviews in the UK & the USA where she's completed 4 sellout pet portrait seminars in Knoxville, Tennessee during 2018/2019, with a more anticipated for April 2020. Marion has also brought her portrait & pet portrait skills to her online school, where students can purchase online & paint through the program with her.
BUT for some you can't beat being in the room with her !! SO here's your last chance in 2019. On this workshop, students will work on their own personal choice of a portrait, or pet/wildlife portrait in oils & will need their OWN subject photo reference. Once you've booked, Marion will provide an info pack on how to choose a suitable photo. Also included is a FREE & complete set of Marion's portrait brushes (including the fabulous MazArt dome blender) to use on the course & to take home with your finished painting. You'll also receive free copies of Marion's PORTRAIT & PET PORTRAIT work books, full of hints, tips & useful colour swatches for achieving those difficult skin tones etc.
A maximum of 6 students attending will ensure you receive invaluable individual attention & is suitable for artists of varying abilities & experience.
Our good friend Roy Lang is finally back with us for another of his spellbinding seascapes. It will be almost 2 years to the day when Roy presents his newest creation, the atmosperic Bantham Beach in oils to MazArt Students. As a true cornishman, Roy loves the sea & thinks of himself not as an artist, but as a sea painter. If you haven't painted with Roy before it will become evident early on that he has a true craftmans eye for the sea & how it behaves. He is excited to be teaching this workshop, as Bantham Beach is being unleashed for the first time & so we're in a priviledged position.
To be painted over two days on panoramic canvas board, this seascape will be a wonderful introduction (unless youve painted with him before) to Roy's unique style. AND he will happily teach you his skills, so you walk away a better seascape artist. If you are quick & book your place, (there's only room for 9) you'll marvel at how he creates vibrant energy in his seas & will learn really valuable techniques that you can introduce into your own art.
Join Marion on her chosen Christmas painting for 2019. Its become a tradition these past few years for MazArt to have a Christmas workshop for students to get into the festive mood nice n early. We've had lanterns & Victorian Shopping & now we have a gorgeous Santa opening his own presents after a hard night on the sleigh!
In this workshop Marion will teach you how to create the gentle images of the baubles in the splash of the colourful backgound, whilst working the watercolour bold enough to really bring out the central image of Santa Claus. You will also be using irridescent watercolur paint to give sparkle to the gift wrapping. An ideal painting to turn into that family Christmas Card.
A great day beckons with the usual Christmas cakes & mince pies.
Join our friend & guest tutor David Wiles (Bob Ross Certified Instructor) for another of his oils landscapes BUT this time its all a bit different with David painting his reflected landscape on a painting of a Christmas Bauble' & then repeated in miniature on a smaller bauble.
Painted in oils, this is a another of David's classic wet on wet renditions of the Bob Ross style. As always, ideal for the beginner artist, or those who haven't painted in awhile. The difference here is that you'll be painting a Christmas themed concept painting - at Christmas! This workshop will allow students to experience a different approach to a painting, adding to their skills AND maybe creating the family Christmas card at the same time !
David is a Lancashire based artist & well known for his ability to support & teach beginners. Coupled with his easy going sense of humour, he makes art great fun. There'll be mince pies & some not so amazing carol singing I suspect BUT you'll have a wonderful time creating this Christmas canvas & be amazed at the results by the end of the day.
